Stories of the Camino/Cuentos sobre el Camino

Caminocando

This is a space to share the stories of those who have traveled the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, are doing so now or intend to do so in the future. And I hope that these stories will move the hearts, minds and spirits of those interested in sharing the experience of the Camino, or at least satisfy the curiosity of anyone who wonders why so many thousands of pilgrims are willing to walk hundreds of kilometers over long weeks, spending the nights in hostels, some as comfortable as a private home, others more like military barracks, and are so eager to return the next year to do it again.

I am gathering photos and stories, mine and yours, in English and Spanish, to hopefully enrich the conversation on the Camino, further spreading the communication of its stories. Hence the name of the site, “Caminocando”.

I have included three pilgrimages of mine, feel free to add yours.

If you have done any of the Caminos, or are doing one now, tell us your story, share your photos. If you intend to do one, what are your questions, your expectations?
